Billie Eilish Lovely 1080p
“bury a friend” is written from the perspective of Billie Eilish’s monster under her bed. The track details a confusing relationship with this ‘entity’ and ambiguously sets her up to be the monster itself.
A snippet of “bury a friend” was teased by Eilish on her Instagram page (as well as on Twitter and YouTube) on January 28th, 2019. The visual shows Billie’s face being roughly grabbed by several gloved hands that reach in from off the screen while she lip-syncs until the very last line where the lyrics ‘when we all fall asleep, where do we go?’ are displayed.
The song itself features a Prismizer effect, which manipulates pitch and frequency characteristics to achieve a different, choral effect, much like Eilish’s recent track “WHEN I WAS OLDER.”
Her friend Mehki Raine makes a few short appearances on the song and seems to be talking directly to Eilish.
Billie then posted the following day announcing her debut album, titled WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? Billie’s debut album will be released on March 29th, which can be pre-ordered here.

Many fans believe an episode of sleep paralysis, which Billie shared on her Instagram story, was one of the inspirations for the song. In a reply to an Instagram comment, Eilish alluded to the validity of this theory.
On February 22nd, 2019, Billie posted a video, in collaboration with YouTube Music, where her and her brother, Finneas explain the meaning behind the song and the creation of it.

When asked by Radio Energy for her favorites from the album, Eilish chose “bury a friend” as one of them.
The highly anticipated “lovely” is the second song on the 13 Reasons Why: Season 2 soundtrack. It premiered in Zane Lowe’s World Record feature on Apple Music’s Beats 1 radio station on April 19th 2018.
The track was produced by Eilish’s brother FINNEAS, who was with Billie and Khalid when writing the song. The lyrics of the track focus on the duo’s attempt to overcome depression. Eilish told Lowe:
We called it [lovely] because the song was sort of really freaking depressing so then it’s like oh, how lovely. Just taking everything horrible like you know what this is great. I’m so happy being miserable.
Despite being released as a single, the song was included on the official soundtrack for season two of the Netflix hit-show 13 Reasons Why. “lovely” can be heard in the last episode, “Bye”, in which the show’s main character, Clay Jensen, finally copes with the death of Hannah Baker and decides to part ways with her.
Eilish shared her excitement about “lovely” being included on the show’s soundtrack on her podcast groupies have feelings too on Apple Music’s Beats 1 radio station:
And what’s really insane about it, like, if you look at the soundtrack it’s like Selena Gomez, who produced the show, and then, me!
The track was also featured on season one, episode two of Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists.
